She said, "The Prophet ﷺ would not sleep until he had recited Bani Israil and az-Zumar."
قالت: كان النبي ﷺ لا ينام حتى يقرأ بني إسرائيل والزمر.
Reported by Tirmidhi (2920), Ahmad (24388), Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (712), Ibn Khuzayma (1163), and Hakim (2/424), all of them through routes from Hammad bin Zayd, from Abu Lubaba Aqeeli, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it. Most of them have an addition at the beginning. Its isnad is hasan because of Abu Lubaba Aqeeli, whose name is Marwan, for he is hasan al-hadith.Ibn Abu Khaythama said, "I asked Ibn Main about Abu Lubaba, from whom Hammad bin Zayd narrates," and he said, "His name is Marwan, a Basran, trustworthy." Ibn Hibban mentioned him among his trustworthy narrators.Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith. This Abu Lubaba is a Basran sheikh from whom Hammad bin Zayd narrated more than one hadith. It is said that his name is Marwan. Muhammad bin Ismail informed me of that in his book Tarikh."I say, likewise Ibn Hajar graded it hasan in Nataij Afkar (3/65). As for Ibn Khuzayma, he withheld judgment, saying, "If this Abu Lubaba is one whose report may be used as evidence, I do not know him to have either integrity or blame." But the establishment of his trustworthiness by Ibn Main has already preceded, so his withholding judgment does not harm this. Likewise, the statement of Dhahabi in Mizan (4/565), "It is not known who he is, and the report is munkar," does not harm it either.
