The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says, 'I am content with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad as my Messenger,' Paradise becomes guaranteed for him."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: من قال: رضيت بالله ربا، وبالإسلام دينا، وبمحمد رسولا، وجبت له الجنة.
Abu Dawud (1529) and Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (5) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (863) and Hakim (1/518) graded it sahih, all of them through Zayd bin Hubab, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Shurayh Iskandarani told us, Abu Hani Khawlani told me, that he heard Abu Ali Junbi, that he heard Abu Saeed Khudri, and he related it. Its isnad is hasan because of Zayd bin Hubab, since his hadith is hasan. Ibn Hajar said in Nataij Afkar (1/93), "This is a hasan hadith."Muslim narrated it in Imarah (1884) through Abdullah bin Wahb, who said, Abu Hani Khawlani told me, from Abu Abdul-Rahman Hubli, from Abu Saeed Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abu Saeed, whoever is content with Allah as Lord, Islam as religion, and Muhammad as prophet, Paradise is guaranteed for him." Abu Saeed was amazed at this and said, "Repeat it for me, O Messenger of Allah," so he did. Then he said, "And another by which the servant is raised a hundred levels in Paradise, the distance between each two levels being like the distance between heaven and earth." He asked, "What is it, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Jihad in the path of Allah, jihad in the path of Allah."There is no contradiction between the two wordings, for its meaning is that of one who says it with his tongue while being content with it in his heart. This is indicated by what Imam Ahmad narrated (11102) from Yahya bin Ishaq, who said, Ibn Lahia informed us, from Khalid bin Abu Imran, from Abu Abdul-Rahman Hubli, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who said, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took my hand and said, "O Abu Saeed, three things, whoever says them will enter Paradise." I said, "What are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Whoever is content with Allah as Lord, Islam as religion, and Muhammad as messenger." Then he said, "O Abu Saeed, and the fourth carries a merit like the distance between heaven and earth, and it is jihad in the path of Allah."Ibn Lahia is fine in corroborating narrations.There is no obstacle to both Abu Ali Junbi and Abu Abdul-Rahman Hubli having narrated the hadith from Abu Saeed, with Abu Hani Khawlani narrating it from both of them together, even though the narration of Ibn Wahb is more sahih. Ibn Hibban graded both routes sahih. (863, 4612).
