Abban bin Uthman bin Affan reported,

I heard Uthman bin Affan say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no servant who says each morning and each evening, "In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing," three times, and then anything harms him.'"Abban had been struck by a touch of paralysis, and the man began staring at him.Abban said to him, "What are you looking at? The hadith is exactly as I narrated it to you, but I did not say it that day, so Allah's decree was carried out upon me."
