The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came as a guest to Ubayy's home. We served him food and a stew, and he ate from it. Then dates were brought, and he would eat them and drop the pits between his fingers, joining his index and middle fingers together. Then a drink was brought to him, which he drank, and he passed it to the one on his right.Ubayy took hold of the reins of his mount and said, "Pray to Allah for us."He said, "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy on them."
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Drinks (2042) from Muhammad bin Muthanna Anazi, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar narrated to us, who said, Shubah narrated to us, from Yazid bin Khumayr, from Abdullah bin Busr, and he mentioned it.
