Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate or drank, he would say, "Praise be to Allah who has given food and drink, made it easy to swallow, and provided for it a way out."
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا أكل أو شرب قال: الحمد لله الذي أطعم وسقى، وسوغه، وجعل له مخرجا.
Narrated by Abu Dawud (3851), Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (285), and Ibn Sunni (471), and graded sahih by Ibn Hibban (5220), all of them through the route of Ibn Wahb, who said, Saeed bin Abu Ayub told me, from Abu Aqeel Qurashi (that is, Zahra bin Mabad), from Abu Abdul-Rahman Hubli, from Abu Ayub Ansari, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Nawawi graded it sahih in Adhkar, as did Ibn Hajar in Nataij Afkar.
