The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Have you married, Jabir?"I replied, "Yes."He said, "May Allah bless you," or he said to me something good. In another narration, "May Allah bless you."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: تزوجت يا جابر؟ فقلت: نعم… فقال: بارك الله لك. أو قال لي خيرا. وفي رواية: فبارك الله عليك.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Expenditures (5367), and Muslim in the Book of Suckling (715:56), both through the route of Hammad bin Zayd, from Amr bin Dinar, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who mentioned it within a long hadith. The second wording was narrated by Bukhari in the Book of Supplications (6387) through another route from Hammad, with the same content.
