Ibn Hibban (889) narrated it from Hasan bin Sufyan, who said, "Mahmud bin Ghaylan narrated to us, Abu Ahmad Zubayri narrated to us, Sufyan (that is, Thawri) narrated to us from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, who said..." and then mentioned it. Abu Ahmad Zubayri is Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Zubayr Asadi, a trustworthy and reliable narrator, though he sometimes errs in narrations from Thawri. However, he did not err here, because he is corroborated. Abd bin Humayd (1496) narrated it from Ubaydullah bin Musa, from Sufyan Thawri, with the same chain, with the wording, "When one of you makes a wish, let him wish for much..." Tabarani in Awsat (2040) narrated it through this same route. Haythami said in Majma (10/150), "Tabarani narrated it in Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the sahih."Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it in Musannaf (29982) from Abdullah bin Numayr, from Hisham bin Urwa, with the same chain, as a stopped narration. The ruling goes to whoever narrates it as a raised narration, and an addition from a trustworthy narrator is accepted by the majority of scholars of hadith.
