Tufayl bin Amr came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, Daws has disobeyed and refused, so invoke Allah against them."The people thought he was about to curse them, but he said, "O Allah, guide Daws and bring them."
قدم الطفيل بن عمرو على رسول الله ﷺ فقال: يا رسول الله، إن دوسا قد عصت وأبت، فادع الله عليها، فظن الناس أنه يدعو عليهم، فقال: اللهم اهد دوسا وأت بهم.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Supplications (6397), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions (2524), both of them through Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it.
