The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no Muslim who goes to bed in a state of purity while remembering Allah, then wakes during the night and asks Allah for any good of this world or the next, except that He grants it to him."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: ما من مسلم يبيت على ذكر طاهرا فيتعار من الليل يسأل الله خيرا من الدنيا والآخرة إلا أعطيه.
Nasai narrated it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (806) from Ibrahim bin Yaqub, who said, Affan narrated to us, who said, Hammad narrated to us, who said, "Asim, Thabit, and I were together, and Asim narrated from Shahr, from Abu Zabya, from Muaz bin Jabal," and he related it.Abu Dawud (5042), Ibn Majah (3881), and Ahmad (22048) all narrated it through various routes from Hammad bin Salama, from Asim bin Bahdala, with the same wording. Thabit Bunani said, "Abu Zabya came to us and told us this hadith from Muaz bin Jabal, from the Prophet ﷺ."This isnad is hasan because of Abu Zabya, who is Kalai, for he is hasan al-hadith. Ibn Main deemed him reliable, and Daraqutni said, "There is no harm in him." The hadith has other routes, none of which are free of some criticism, and the one I have mentioned is the most sahih of them.
