I was praying while the Prophet ﷺ was present along with Abu Bakr and Umar. When I sat down, I began by praising Allah, then sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, then I made supplication for myself.The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ask, and it will be given to you. Ask, and it will be given to you."
كنت أصلي والنبي ﷺ وأبو بكر وعمر معه، فلما جلست بدأت بالثناء على الله، ثم الصلاة على النبي ﷺ ثم دعوت لنفسي فقال النبي ﷺ: سل تعطه، سل تعطه.
Tirmidhi (593) narrated it from Mahmud bin Ghaylan, who said, Yahya bin Adam narrated to us, who said, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash narrated to us, from Asim, from Zirr, from Abdullah, and he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Asim, who is Ibn Bahdala, known as Ibn Abu Najud, whose narration is hasan.Tirmidhi said, "A hasan sahih hadith."
