The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the most excellent of your days is Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the trumpet will be blown, and on it all creatures will be struck unconscious. So send abundant blessings upon me on this day, for your blessings are presented to me."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, how can our blessings be presented to you when your body has decayed?"He replied, "Allah has forbidden the earth from consuming the bodies of the prophets."
Reported by Abu Dawud (1047), Nasai (1374), and Ibn Majah (1636), and graded sahih by Ibn Khuzayma (1733), Ibn Hibban (910), and Hakim (1/278), all of them through the route of Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid bin Jabir, from Abu Ashath Sanani, from Aws bin Aws, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Nawawi also graded it sahih in Al-Adhkar (97). This hadith has been criticized on grounds that do not undermine its soundness, see Jala Afham (66-67).His statement, "and in it is the swoon," means fainting and death.
