I met Abu Ayub al-Ansari, and he said to me, "Shall I not instruct you with what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me? That I say often, 'There is no power and no strength except by Allah,' for it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise."
لقيت أبا أيوب الأنصاري فقال لي: ألا آمرك بما أمرني به رسول الله ﷺ أن أكثر من لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله، فإنه كنز من كنوز الجنة.
Ibn Abu Shayba (36410) and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (4/158) both narrated it from the hadith of Zayd bin Hubab, from Kathir bin Zayd Madani, who said, Muttalib bin Abdullah bin Hantab related to me, from Amir bin Saad bin Abu Waqqas, and he mentioned it. Ibn Hajar said in Matalib Aliyah (3425), "Its isnad is hasan." I say, it is as he said, for Zayd bin Hubab, Kathir bin Zayd, and Muttalib bin Abdullah bin Hantab are all hasan al-hadith.
