The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The most beloved speech to Allah is that a servant says, 'Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. Blessed is Your name, exalted is Your majesty, and there is no god besides You.' And the most hated speech to Allah is that a man says to another, 'Fear Allah,' and the other replies, 'Mind your own self.'"
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن أحب الكلام إلى الله أن يقول العبد: سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك، وتبارك اسمك، وتعالى جدك، ولا إله غيرك، وإن أبغض الكلام إلى الله أن يقول الرجل للرجل: اتق الله، فيقول: عليك نفسك.
Nasai reported it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (849), and Bayhaqi in Shuab (621) and in Dawat Kabir (156), both of them by way of Muhammad bin Saeed bin Asbahani, who said, Abu Muawiya narrated to us, from Amash, from Ibrahim Taymi, from Harith bin Suwayd, from Abdullah (he is Ibn Masud), who said, and then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Busiri also declared it sahih in Ithaf Khayra Mahra (6135).Some narrators reported it from Abu Muawiya and Amash and stopped it at Abdullah bin Masud, but the ruling goes to whoever added more, because Saeed bin Asbahani, who is Abu Jafar Kufi, known as Hamdan, is a trustworthy and firmly reliable narrator, and an addition from a trustworthy narrator is accepted by the majority of scholars.
