Aishah reported that before he died, the Prophet ﷺ would frequently say, "Glory be to You, Allah, and praise be to You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance."She said, "Messenger of Allah, I notice you often saying, 'Glory be to You, Allah, and praise be to You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.'"He replied, "I have been commanded to do so," and then he recited, "When the help of Allah comes and the conquest" [Nasr 110:1].
كان النبي ﷺ قبل أن يموت يكثر أن يقول: سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك أستغفرك وأتوب إليك قلت: يا رسول الله إني أراك تكثر أن تقول: سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك أستغفرك وأتوب إليك قال: إني أمرت بأمر فقرأ: {إذا جاء نصر الله والفتح}
Tabarani narrated it in Al-Awsat (1223 - Majma Bahrayn) from Abdul-Rahman bin Salm Abu Yahya Razi, who said, Sahl bin Uthman told us, Hafs bin Ghiyath told us, from Asim Ahwal, from Shaybi, from Umm Salama, and he mentioned it.Tabarani said, "No one narrated it from Asim except Hafs, and Sahl was the sole transmitter of it."Haythami, after quoting his statement, said, "I say, it is sahih."
