The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays the dawn prayer in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun rises, then stands and prays two units of prayer, will return with the reward of a hajj and an umrah."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من صلى صلاة الغداة في جماعة ثم جلس يذكر الله حتى تطلع الشمس ثم قام فركع ركعتين انقلب بأجر حجة وعمرة.
Reported by Tabarani in al-Kabir (8/209) from Husayn bin Ishaq Tustari, who said, Mughira bin Abdul-Rahman Harrani told us, Uthman bin Abdul-Rahman told us, from Musa bin Ali, from Yahya bin Harith, from Qasim, from Abu Umama, who related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Qasim, who is Ibn Abdul-Rahman Shami Dimashqi, about whom there is disagreement, though his hadith is hasan. Uthman bin Abdul-Rahman, who is Tarayfi, also has hasan hadith.Munziri said in Targhib wal-Tarhib (675), "Tabarani reported it and its chain of transmission is good." Haythami followed him in this in Majma al-Zawaid (10/104).Abu Dawud (558) and Ahmad (22304) reported it through another route from Yahya bin Harith with the same meaning, but it does not mention sitting until sunrise, which is mentioned in the Book of Prayer.
