I heard one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ say that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah the Exalted says, 'Son of Adam, rise toward Me and I will walk toward you, walk toward Me and I will hasten toward you.'"
سمعت رجلا من أصحاب النبي ﷺ يقول: قال النبي ﷺ قال الله تعالى: يا ابن آدم قم إلي أمش إليك، وامش إلي أهرول إليك.
Ahmad (15925) narrated it from Ishaq bin Isa, that is, Ibn Tabbaa, who said, Jareer, meaning Ibn Hazim, narrated to us from Wasil Ahdab, from Abu Waail, from Shurayh, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Shurayh is Ibn Harith, the judge of Kufah.Haythami said, Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Shurayh bin Harith, who is trustworthy.
