The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever performs the ritual bath, then comes to the Friday prayer and prays whatever is decreed for him, then listens silently until the imam finishes his sermon, then prays with him, will be forgiven for what is between this Friday and the next, with an extra three days."In another narration, "Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then comes to the Friday prayer and listens attentively and silently, will be forgiven for what is between this Friday and the next, plus an additional three days. And whoever touches the pebbles has engaged in idle conduct."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: من اغتسل ثم أتى الجمعة فصلى ما قدر له، ثم أنصت حتى يفرغ من خطبته، ثم يصلي معه، غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة الأخرى، وفضل ثلاثة ثلاثة أيام. وفي رواية: من توضأ فأحسن الوضوء، ثم أتى الجمعة فاستمع، وأنصت، غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة، وزيادة ثلاثة أيام، ومن مس الحصى فقد لغا.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on Friday (857) from Umaya bin Bistam, who said, Yazid (meaning Ibn Zuray) narrated to us, Rawh narrated to us, from Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.The second narration he related through Abu Muawiya, Muhammad bin Khazim, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah.
