The Prophet ﷺ said, "The terror of the False Messiah, the Dajjal, will not enter Madinah. On that day it will have seven gates, with two angels guarding each gate."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: لا يدخل المدينة رعب المسيح الدجال، لها يومئذ سبعة أبواب، على كل باب ملكان.
Bukhari narrated it in the Merits of Madinah (1879), from Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah, who said, Ibrahim bin Saad narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Abu Bakra, and he mentioned it.His statement, "the terror of the Messiah Dajjal," refers to the dread that arises from mentioning him and the fear of his tyranny, not the tremor that occurs from an earthquake meant to expel those who are not sincere in faith.These hadiths are one of the signs of prophethood, that the plague and the Dajjal will not enter Madinah, and belief in this is obligatory. The first of these has already been confirmed, for the plague did not occur in Madinah even though it occurred around it, in Syria and elsewhere. The second will be confirmed when its time comes, which is near the Hour.
