The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam. In it is nourishment that satisfies hunger and a cure for sickness. The worst water on the face of the earth is the water of the valley of Barahut in Hadramawt. Upon it swarm vermin like a plague of Jarad. In the morning it gushes forth, but by evening there is not a drop of Bilal in it."
Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir (11/98), and Fakihi in Akhbar Makkah (2/41), both of them from the hadith of Hasan bin Ahmad bin Abu Shuayb Harrani, who said, Miskin bin Bukayr narrated to us, who said, Muhammad bin Muhajir narrated to us, from Ibrahim bin Abu Hurrah, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it.Its chain is hasan, because of the discussion regarding Miskin bin Bukayr and Ibrahim bin Abu Hurrah, though the two of them make the hadith hasan. There are other hadiths on this subject mentioned in the book on Hajj.
