The Prophet ﷺ said on the day of the conquest of Mecca, while leaning his back against the Kaabah, "This city, its thorns are not to be cut, its game is not to be disturbed, and its grass is not to be uprooted. It was not made lawful for anyone before me, nor will it be lawful for anyone after me. I asked my Lord, and it was made lawful for me only for an hour of the day."Abbas called out to him and said, "Except for idhkhir grass, Messenger of Allah, for the people use it on the roofs of their houses."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Except for idhkhir."
Muhammad bin Ishaq Fakihi related it in Akhbar Makkah (2/248–249), from Husayn bin Hasan, who said, Ibn Abu Adi informed us, from Dawud bin Abu Hind, from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who said, then he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb and his father, for the two of them render the hadith hasan.
