The Prophet ﷺ said, "Adam and Musa debated with one another. Musa said to him, 'Adam, you are our father. You disappointed us and caused us to be expelled from Paradise.'Adam replied to him, 'Musa, Allah chose you to speak with directly and inscribed the Tawrah for you with His own hand. Do you blame me for a matter that Allah decreed for me forty years before He created me?'So Adam outdid Musa in argument, Adam outdid Musa in argument," three times.
عن النبي ﷺ قال: احتج آدم وموسى، فقال له موسي: يا آدم أنت أبونا خيبتنا وأخرجتنا من الجنة! قال له آدم: يا موسى اصطفاك الله بكلامه، وخطط لك بيده، أتلومني على أمر قدره الله علي قبل أن يخلقني بأربعين سنة، فحج آدم موسى، فحج آدم موسى. ثلاثا.
