The Prophet ﷺ called the Ansar in order to grant them Bahrain in writing. They said, "No, by Allah, not until you grant the same to our brothers from Quraysh."He replied, "That will be theirs, as Allah wills."They kept repeating their request to him, so he said, "After me you will see others given preference over you. Be patient until you meet me."
دعا النبي ﷺ الأنصار ليكتب لهم بالبحرين فقالوا: لا والله حتى تكتب لإخواننا من قريش بمثلها، فقال: ذاك لهم ما شاء الله على ذلك، يقولون له، قال: فإنكم سترون بعدي أثرة، فاصبروا حتى تلقوني.
