The Prophet ﷺ said, "The freed ones from Quraysh and the emancipated ones from Thakeef are allies of one another in this world and the hereafter, and the Muhajirun and the Ansar are allies of one another in this world and the hereafter."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: الطلقاء من قريش، والعتقاء من ثقيف، بعضهم أولياء بعض في الدنيا والآخرة، والمهاجرون والأنصار بعضهم أولياء بعض في الدنيا والآخرة.
Ahmad (19218), Tabarani in al-Kabir (2/392), and Hakim (4/81-80), who graded it sahih, all narrated it through Sufyan Thawri, from Sulayman Amash, from Musa bin Abdullah bin Yazid Khatmi, who said, Abdul-Rahman bin Hilal narrated to us, from Jareer bin Abdullah, who said, then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Hakim said, sahih in its chain of transmission, and the two of them (Bukhari and Muslim) did not narrate it.Note, an error occurred in the chain of transmission as given by Ahmad, where it reads, "Musa bin Abdullah bin Hilal Absi, from Jareer." The correct version is, "Musa bin Abdullah bin Yazid, from Abdul-Rahman bin Hilal Absi, from Jareer," so the phrase "bin Yazid, from Abdul-Rahman" was dropped from it. Haythami pointed this out in al-Majma (10/15), as did Hafiz in Atraf Musnad (2/204), in Ithaf Mahra (4/56), and in al-Tajil (2/287-288).
