The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, You made the first of Quraysh taste punishment, so let the last of them taste favor."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: اللهم أذقت أول قريش نكالا، فأذق آخرهم نوالا.
Tirmidhi (3908, 3909), Ahmad (2170), and Ibn Abu Asim in Sunnah (1539) all narrated it through the route of Amash, from Tariq bin Abdul-Rahman, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said, then he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Tariq bin Abdul-Rahman Bajali, for he is a narrator whose hadiths are hasan.Tirmidhi said, this is a hasan sahih gharib hadith.His saying "nikal" means punishment, and "nawal" means giving.
