The Prophet ﷺ came to her and said, "Were it not that the Quraysh would become arrogant, I would have told them what reward awaits them with Allah ."
أن النبي ﷺ دخل عليها فقال: لولا أن تبطر قريش لأخبرتها بما لها عند الله عز وجل.
Ahmad (25249) narrated it from Abu Nadr (that is, Hashim bin Qasim), who said, "Ishaq bin Saeed narrated to us, from his father (that is, Saeed bin Amr bin Saeed Umawi), from Ayesha," who said such and such. Its isnad is sahih. Haythami said in Majma (25/10), "Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."Al-batar means insolence at the time of ease and prolonged wealth. On the same meaning there is the hadith of Jubayr bin Mutim and Ibn Abbas found in Abu Asim's Sunnah, except that neither of them is sahih.
