Shahr bin Hawshab reported,

Asma bint Yazid bin Sakan, one of the women of the Banu Abd al-Ashhal, reported that someone entered upon her one day, and she brought him food. He said, "I have no appetite for it."She said, "I was the one who adorned Ayesha as a bride for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then I came to him and invited him to view her unveiling. He came and sat beside her. A large cup of milk was brought, and he drank from it, then handed it to her. She lowered her head and felt shy."Asma continued, "I scolded her and said to her, 'Take it from the hand of the Prophet ﷺ.' So she took it and drank a little. Then the Prophet ﷺ said to her, 'Give it to your companion.'"Asma said, "I said, 'Messenger of Allah, rather take it yourself, drink from it, then hand it to me from your hand.' So he took it, drank from it, and then handed it to me."She said, "I sat down, placed it on my knee, and began turning it around, following it with my lips so I might touch the spot from which the Prophet ﷺ had drunk. Then he said to some women who were with me, 'Pass it to them.'They said, 'We have no appetite for it.'The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Do not combine hunger with lying. Will you stop saying, "I have no appetite"?'"She said, "I said, 'Yes, my dear, I will never do it again.'"
