The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on a journey when he heard a muezzin say, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He has cast off the false partners."Then the muezzin said, "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."The Prophet ﷺ said, "He has been delivered from the Fire."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will find him to be a herder of goats out at pasture, or an owner of dogs."
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان في مسير له فسمع مؤذنا يقول: أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: خلع الأنداد. فقال: أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله، فقال: خرج من النار. ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ: تجدونه صاحب معزى معزبة أو صاحب كلاب.

Bazzar narrated it (4225), and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (22/109), both through the route of Abu Qutayba Salm bin Qutayba, who said, Abdul-Jabbar bin Abbas narrated to us, from Awn bin Abu Juhayfa, from his father Abu Juhayfa, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan on account of Salm bin Qutayba and Abdul-Jabbar bin Abbas, for the two of them make the hadith hasan.Haythami said in Al-Majma (1/335), "Bazzar narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy."
