The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The voice of Abu Talha against the polytheists is mightier than a whole battalion."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الصوت أبي طلحة أشد على المشركين من فئة.
Ahmad (13105) narrated it from Yazid bin Harun, who reported to us from Hammad bin Salama, from Thabit, from Anas, as mentioned above.Ibn Abu Shayba (34107), Ahmad (13604), and Abu Yaala (3983) also narrated it, and Hakim graded it sahih (3/252-253), all of them through various routes from Ali bin Zayd bin Jadan, from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "The voice of Abu Talha in the army is better than a whole company."Ali bin Zayd bin Jadan is Taymi Basri, and he is daif according to the majority of scholars, but he is not problematic when corroborated, since Thabit corroborated him as mentioned above. Haythami said in Majma (3129), "Ahmad and Abu Yaala narrated it, and the narrators of the first narration are the narrators of sahih." I say, by "the first narration" he means the narration of Thabit.
