Bukhari narrated it in al-Adab (6195) from Sulayman bin Harb, who said, Shuba informed us, from Adi bin Thabit, who said, I heard Bara say, then he related it.As for what is narrated from Ibn Abbas, who said, When Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed over him and said, "He has a wet nurse in Paradise. Had he lived, he would have been a man of truth and a prophet. Had he lived, his maternal uncles the Copts would have been freed, and no Copt would have been enslaved." This is munkar as regards his saying, "Had he lived, he would have been a man of truth and a prophet."Ibn Majah narrated it (1511) from Abdul-Qudoos bin Muhammad, who said, Dawud bin Shabib Bahili narrated to us, who said, Ibrahim bin Uthman narrated to us, who said, Hakam bin Utayba narrated to us, from Miqsam, from Ibn Abbas, who related it.Ibrahim bin Uthman is Abu Shayba Absi Kufi, who is extremely daif by the agreement of the scholars. Nasai said, "His hadith is abandoned."His statement, "Had he lived, he would have been a man of truth and a prophet," is extremely munkar, and it contradicts the Book of Allah and the well-established, widely transmitted sunnah that the Prophet ﷺ is the seal of the prophets and messengers, and that there is no prophet after him. So it is impossible that he would have said, "Had he lived, he would have been a prophet."The statement of Ibn Abu Awfa will come, reported as a stopped narration attributed to him, "Had it been decreed," meaning, had prophethood been ordained after the Prophet ﷺ, and had Allah not sealed prophethood with him, it would have been Ibrahim.
