The Prophet ﷺ said, "The wretched one is he who was made wretched in his mother's womb, and the fortunate one is he who was made fortunate in her womb."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: الشقي من شقي في أمه، والسعيد من سعد في بطنها.
Bazzar narrated it, Kashf Astar (2150), and Lalikai in Itiqad (1054, 1057), and Bayhaqi in Qada wal-Qadar (1/312), all of them through routes going back to Abdul-Rahman bin Mubarak Basri, who said, Hammad bin Zayd told us, from Hisham bin Hassan, from Ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Haythami attributed it in Majma (7/193) to Bazzar and to Tabarani in Saghir, and he said, "The men of Bazzar are the men of the sahih."
