Thawban reported,

I was standing beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when one of the rabbis of the Jews came and said, "Peace be upon you, Muhammad!" I shoved him so hard that he nearly fell.He said, "Why did you push me?"I replied, "Why do you not say, 'Messenger of Allah'?"The Jew said, "We only call him by the name his family gave him."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My name is Muhammad, the name my family gave me."The Jew said, "I have come to ask you something."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Will it benefit you if I tell you?"He said, "I will listen with my ears."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then drew on the ground with a stick he had with him and said, "Ask."The Jew asked, "Where will people be on the day the earth is changed into another earth, and the heavens too?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ answered, "They will be in darkness, before the bridge."He asked, "Who will be the first of the people to cross?"He answered, "The poor among the Emigrants."The Jew asked, "What will be their welcome gift when they enter Paradise?"He answered, "An extra portion from the liver of the great fish."He asked, "What will be their meal after that?"He answered, "The bull of Paradise, which used to graze at its edges, will be slaughtered for them."He asked, "What will be their drink with it?"He answered, "From a spring there called Salsabil."The Jew said, "You have spoken the truth." Then he said, "I have also come to ask you about something that no one on earth knows except a prophet, or one or two men."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Will it benefit you if I tell you?"He said, "I will listen with my ears."He said, "I have come to ask you about the child."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ answered, "The fluid of the man is white and the fluid of the woman is yellow. When they unite, if the man's fluid prevails over the woman's fluid, the child will be male by Allah's permission, and if the woman's fluid prevails over the man's fluid, the child will be female by Allah's permission."The Jew said, "You have spoken the truth, and you are indeed a prophet." Then he turned and left.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This man asked me about matters of which I had no knowledge, until Allah brought it to me."

عن ثوبان مولى رسول الله ﷺ قال

كنت قائما عند رسول الله ﷺ فجاء حبر من أحبار اليهود فقال: السلام عليك يا محمد! فدفعته دفعة كاد يصرع منها، فقال: لم تدفعني؟ فقلت: ألا تقول يا رسول الله؟ فقال اليهودي: إنما ندعوه باسمه الذي سماه به أهله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: إن اسمي محمد الذي سماني به أهلي. فقال اليهودي: جئت أسألك، فقال له رسول الله ﷺ: أ ينفعك شيء إن حدثتك؟ قال: أسمع بأذني، فنكت رسول الله ﷺ بعود معه فقال: سل. فقال اليهودي: أين يكون الناس يوم تبدل الأرض غير الأرض والسموات؟ فقال رسول الله ﷺ: هم فى الظلمة دون الجسر. قال: فمن أول الناس إجازة؟ قال: فقراء المهاجرين. قال اليهودي: فما تحفتهم حين يدخلون الجنة؟ قال: زيادة كبد النون. قال: فما غذاؤهم على إثرها؟ قال: ينحر لهم ثور الجنة الذي كان يأكل من أطرافها. قال: فما شرابهم عليه؟ قال: من عين فيها تسمى سلسبيلا. فقال: صدقت، قال: وجئت أسألك عن شيء لا يعلمه أحد من أهل الأرض إلا نبي، أو رجل أو رجلان، قال: ينفعك إن حدثتك؟ قال: أسمع بأذني، قال: جئت أسألك عن الولد؟ قال: ماء الرجل أبيض وماء المرأة أصفر، فإذا اجتمعا، فعلا مني الرجل مني المرأة أذكرا بإذن الله، وإذا علا مني المرأة مني الرجل آنثا بإذن الله. قال اليهودي: لقد صدقت، وإنك لنبي، ثم انصرف فذهب، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: لقد سألني هذا عن الذي سألني عنه، وما لي علم بشيء منه، حتى أتاني الله به.
