Aaiz bin Amr reported,

Abu Sufyan passed by Salman, Suhayb, and Bilal, who were sitting with a group of others. They remarked, "By Allah, the swords of Allah have not yet taken their proper hold on the neck of this enemy of Allah."Abu Bakr said to them, "Do you say this about the elder of Quraysh and their chief?"He then went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of what had happened. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Abu Bakr, perhaps you have angered them. If you have angered them, then you have angered your Lord."So Abu Bakr went back to them and said, "My brothers, have I angered you?"They replied, "No, may Allah forgive you, our brother."
