The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am closer to every believer than his own self. Whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents in need, it falls to me to take care of them, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it goes to his heirs."
حدثنا مؤمل حدثنا سفيان عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
قال رسول الله ﷺ أنا أولى بكل مؤمن من نفسه فمن ترك دينا أو ضياعا فإلي ومن ترك مالا فللوارث
Its isnad is sahih. Muammal is Ibn Ismail Adawi, mentioned many times before, and the hadith has already appeared at 9776.
