Its isnad is sahih. Hisham is Ibn Hassan Azdi. Muhammad is Ibn Sirin, as is clear, and as is supported by his statement at the end, "I mentioned that to my brother Yahya bin Sirin." In one version it reads "Muhammad bin Ubayda," putting "bin" in place of "an," which is an error. Yahya bin Sirin was a trustworthy successor, who died before his brother Muhammad. It appears that what he added here he narrates from Ubayda Salmani, though this is not explicitly stated.Al-kifaf, with kasra on the kaf, is the plural of kiffa, with damma on the kaf, which is the edge of a garment, meaning what runs around the hem, the sleeves, and the collar opening.
