The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, I make a covenant with You that You will not break for me. I am only a human being, so whichever believer I have harmed, insulted, cursed, or lashed, make it for him a means of purification, a prayer, and a means of nearness by which You bring him close to You on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا محمد عن عبيد الله بن المغيرة بن معيقيب عن عمرو بن سليمان بن عبد قال أبو عبد الرحمن لم يضبط إسناده إنما هو سليمان بن عمرو بن عبد العتواري وهو صاحب أبي سعيد الخدري أبو الهيثم عن أبي سعيد الخدري وعن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
قال رسول الله ﷺ اللهم إني أتخذ عندك عهدا لن تخلفنيه فإنما أنا بشر فأي المؤمنين آذيته أو شتمته أو لعنته أو جلدته فاجعلها له زكاة وصلاة وقربة تقربه بها إليك يوم القيامة
Its isnad is sahih. As for the chain, Abdullah's vocalization is the correct one, because this is how the biographical scholars vocalize Sulayman's name, and he is attributed to Itra, which is a subdivision of Kinanah. The hadith is found in Muslim, in the Book of Righteousness, in the chapter on those the Prophet cursed, 4/2119, no. 2601, with this wording. Bukhari also narrated it with similar wording, 11/171, no. 6361 (Fath), in the Book of Supplications, in the chapter on the Prophet's saying, "Whoever I have wronged, make it a means of purification for him."
