The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you fights, let him avoid the face."
حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا محمد عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة ومحمد عمن سمع أبا صالح السمان يحدث
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا قاتل أحدكم فليجتنب الوجه
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Its second chain contains an unknown narrator. It has already appeared at 9570, and it is found in Muslim 4/2016, number 2612, in the book of Righteousness, on the prohibition against striking the face.
