The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever endures the hardship and difficulty of Madinah, I will be an intercessor or a witness for him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا وكيع عن أفلح عن أبي بكر بن محمد بن عمرو بن حزم عن سلمان الأغر
عن النبي ﷺ قال المدينة من صبر على شدتها ولأوائها كنت له شفيعا أو شهيدا يوم القيامة
Its isnad is sahih. Aflah is Ibn Humayd bin Nafi Ansari, a trustworthy narrator (thiqah). The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 2/1004, no. 1378, in Hajj, the chapter on encouraging residence in Madinah. And Tirmidhi, 5/722, no. 3924, in Merits, the chapter on what has been said about the merit of Madinah. He said, hasan gharib, on account of Salih bin Abu Salih, who appears in his version but is not present in Ahmad's version here.
