The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A time will come upon people when a man will have to choose between incapacity and wickedness. Let him choose incapacity over wickedness."
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن داود بن أبي هند عن شيخ
قال رسول الله ﷺ يأتي على الناس زمان يخير الرجل فيه بين العجز والفجور فليختر العجز على الفجور
Its chain of transmission is daif, containing an unknown narrator, but the hadith itself is sahih, since Dawud identified the man who narrated from Abu Hurairah in the version recorded by Hakim [from Dawud, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Abu Hurairah], in Mustadrak 4/438, where he graded it sahih and Dhahabi agreed with him.
