The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three signs which, when they appear, faith will no longer benefit a soul that did not believe beforehand or earn good through its faith. The rising of the sun from its place of setting, the smoke, and the beast of the earth."
حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا فضيل بن غزوان الضبي عن أبي حازم
قال رسول الله ﷺ ثلاث إذا خرجن لم ينفع نفسا إيمانها لم تكن آمنت من قبل أو كسبت في إيمانها خيرا طلوع الشمس من مغربها والدخان ودابة الأرض
Its isnad is sahih, Muslim reported it 1/138 no. 58 in the chapter on faith, the time when faith is no longer accepted, and Tirmidhi 5/264 no. 3072, and he said, hasan sahih.
