The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Jibreel kept urging me to take care of the neighbor until I thought he would make him an heir."
حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا يونس يعني ابن أبي إسحاق عن مجاهد
قال رسول الله ﷺ مازال جبريل يوصيني بالجار حتى ظننت أنه سيورثه
Its isnad is sahih, Bukhari related it (8/12) in the Book of Manners, Chapter on the Care of the Neighbor, from Ayesha, as did Muslim (4/2025 no. 2624), Tirmidhi (4/333 no. 1942), who said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Majah (2/1211 no. 3673).
