The Prophet ﷺ said, "The believer feels protective jealousy, and Allah's protective jealousy is even greater."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن شعبة عن العلاء عن أبيه
عن النبي ﷺ المؤمن يغار والله أشد غيرا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Repentance, in a section other than "For the sake of Allah," 4/2115, no. 2761.
