Abu Saeed and Jabir, or two of these three, reported that the Prophet ﷺ forbade currency exchange transactions.
حدثنا يحيى عن أشعث عن محمد عن أبي صالح ذكوان
وأبي سعيد وجابر أو اثنين من هؤلاء الثلاثة أن النبي ﷺ نهى عن الصرف
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Ibn Majah 2/759, no. 2258, related it in the chapter on trade, on the topic of those who said, "There is no riba except in deferred transactions."
