The Prophet ﷺ used to recite in the dawn prayer on Friday Alif Lam Mim Tanzil and Hal Ata.
حدثنا يحيى عن سفيان قال حدثني سعد بن إبراهيم عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة وابن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة عن محمد بن زياد قال سمعت
عن النبي ﷺ قال أحفظه قال إن النبي ﷺ كان يقرأ في صلاة الصبح يوم الجمعة الم تنزيل وهل أتى
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Bukhari reported it, 2/377, Fath no. 891, in the chapter on Friday, what is recited in the Friday prayer, and Muslim, 2/599, no. 880, similarly, and Abu Dawud, 1/282, no. 1074, and Nasai, 2/159, no. 955, in the chapter on the opening, the recitation in the Fajr prayer on Friday, and Ibn Majah, 1/269, no. 823, in the chapter on establishing the prayer, the recitation in the Fajr prayer.
