The Prophet ﷺ said, "The lifetime gift becomes inheritance for its recipients, or a permanent grant to its recipients."
حدثنا يحيى عن ابن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن النضر بن أنس عن بشير بن نهيك
عن النبي ﷺ قال العمرى ميراث لأهلها أو جائزة لأهلها
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim narrated it, 3/1248, no. 1625, in the chapter on gifts, on umra, and Nasai, 6/270, no. 3710, in the chapter on ruqba, and Ibn Abu Shayba, 7/138, no. 3657.With the wording "the gift belongs to its recipient," Bukhari narrated it, 3/216, in the chapter on umra, what has been said about umra, and Abu Dawud, 3/623, no. 1349.
