Anas bin Hakeem Dabbi reported,

During the time of Ziyad or Ibn Ziyad, he became fearful, so he came to Madinah and met Abu Hurayrah. Abu Hurayrah asked about my lineage, so I told him.He said, "Young man, shall I not tell you a hadith by which Allah may benefit you?"I replied, "Yes, may Allah have mercy on you."He said, "The first thing for which people will be held to account on the Day of Resurrection is the prayer. Our Lord will say to His angels, though He knows best, 'Look at My servant's prayer. Did he complete it or fall short?' If it is complete, it will be recorded as complete. But if something is lacking, He will say, 'Look, does My servant have any voluntary prayers?' If he has voluntary prayers, He will say, 'Complete My servant's obligatory prayers from his voluntary ones.' Then the rest of the deeds will be taken into account in the same way."Yunus said, "I believe he attributed this to the Prophet ﷺ."

حدثنا إسماعيل قال أخبرنا يونس يعني ابن عبيد عن الحسن

عن أنس بن حكيم الضبي

أنه خاف زمن زياد أو ابن زياد فأتى المدينة فلقي أبا هريرة فانتسبني فانتسبت له فقال يا فتى ألا أحدثك حديثا لعل الله أن ينفعك به قلت بلى رحمك الله قال إن أول ما يحاسب به الناس يوم القيامة من الصلاة قال يقول ربنا عز وجل لملائكته وهو أعلم انظروا في صلاة عبدي أتمها أم نقصها فإن كانت تامة كتبت له تامة وإن كان انتقص منها شيئا قال انظروا هل لعبدي من تطوع فإن كان له تطوع قال أتموا لعبدي فريضته من تطوعه ثم تؤخذ الأعمال على ذلكم قال يونس وأحسبه قد ذكر النبي ﷺ
