The Messenger of Allah ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him said, "The head of disbelief lies toward the east. Pride and arrogance are found among the owners of horses and camels, and among the loud-voiced boasters, the people of the camel-hair tents. Tranquility is found among the keepers of sheep."
وقال عليه الصلاة والسلام رأس الكفر نحو المشرق والفخر والخيلاء في أهل الخيل والإبل والفدادين أهل الوبر والسكينة في أهل الغنم

Bukhari related it in 4/155, and Muslim in 1/73, number 52, in the Book of Faith, and Malik in 970.9378 m1 - He also said, "The serious ones are among the best of people, the most averse to this matter, until they fall into it." O Allah, save Salama bin Hisham. O Allah, save Walid bin Walid. O Allah, save the oppressed among the believers. O Allah, tighten your grip upon Mudar. O Allah, make it years like the years of Yusuf." Sahih (9378 m2). Its chain of transmission is sahih. It occurred previously at 9122 with similar wording.
