Its isnad is sahih. Abu Ghayth Madani, the freedman of Ibn Mutee, is trustworthy, and his hadith is accepted by the group of hadith scholars.The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 4/2232, no. 2909, in the chapter on tribulations, "The Hour will not come until a man passes by," with this exact wording. A similar wording was narrated by Bukhari, 2/182, in the chapter on Hajj, on the saying of Allah Almighty, "Allah has made the Kaaba" [Maidah 5:97], by Abu Dawud, 4/114, in the chapter on major battles, on the prohibition of provoking the Abyssinians, and by Nasai, 5/216, in the chapter on Hajj, on the building of the Kaaba.
