The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Every prophet was given a supplication that he made for his community and it was answered. I, however, intend, if Allah wills, to defer my supplication so that it may be an intercession for my community on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة عن محمد بن زياد قال سمعت
أن نبي الله ﷺ قال لكل نبي دعوة دعا بها في أمته فيستجاب له وإني أريد إن شاء الله أن أؤخر دعوتي شفاعة لأمتي يوم القيامة
