The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no evil omen, and the best of it is the good omen."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is the good omen?"He replied, "A wholesome word that one of you hears."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا عبد الواحد بن زياد قال حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا طيرة وخيرها الفأل قالوا يا رسول الله وما الفأل قال الكلمة الصالحة يسمعها أحدكم
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Bukhari related it in 7/174-175, in the Book of Medicine, chapter on bad omens, and in the chapter on good omens, Muslim in 4/1745, no. 2223, in the Book of Greetings, chapter on bad omens and good omens, and Abdul-Razzaq in 10/403, no. 19503, in Jami, chapter on bad omens.
