Ali stood up and said, "The best of this community after its Prophet are Abu Bakr and Umar. We have introduced matters after them concerning which Allah the Exalted will decree what He wills."
حدثنا عبد الله حدثني وهب بن بقية الواسطي أخبرنا خالد بن عبد الله عن حصين
قام علي فقال خير هذه الأمة بعد نبيها أبو بكر وعمر وإنا قد أحدثنا بعدهم أحداثا يقضي الله تعالى فيها ما شاء
Its isnad is sahih. Husayn is Ibn Abdul-Rahman Sulami. This isnad confirms the soundness of isnad 922, and indicates that Khalid Tahhan narrated the hadith from two teachers, Ata bin Saaib and Husayn bin Abdul-Rahman, both of them from Musayab bin Abd Khayr.
